Thirty Northwood University students are heading to the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Show in Las Vegas, Feb. 1-4.
“This is considered the auto industry event of the year,” explained Elgie Bright, chair of the automotive marketing and management program at Northwood University. “To have 30 students in attendance is a testament to Northwood’s close-knit relationship with the industry, and further evidence of the leg up our students have on their competitors. That’s because these students will experience networking opportunities others only achieve after college.”
In addition to networking at different booths at the show, some of the students are presenting at the Dealer Education Awards breakfast on Feb. 3 at the Encore — Wynn Las Vegas.
“This connects our students with automotive leaders who are dedicated to advancing education, both inside and outside of the automotive industry,” stated Murray Kyte, vice president of advancement for Northwood University. “At this breakfast, and throughout the entire show, our students are able to form connections that are necessary to securing highly-sought internships and other employment opportunities.”
“I am thrilled to head out to Las Vegas for the 2024 NADA Show,” stated Brooke Engelhardt, a marketing student from Saline. “My excitement for this rewarding and unique opportunity is indescribable!”
In addition to representing Northwood University, some of the students heading to Vegas are being sponsored by companies within the automotive industry, including Reynolds & Reynolds and Cox Automotive.
“We are immensely grateful to our automotive partners and NADA, and we look forward to continuing our collective work to drive this industry forward,” Kyte added.
