Sweet 16: BPA students qualify for national competition

Sixteen Northwood University students have qualified for the Business Professionals of America’s national competition in Orlando, Florida, later this spring, following a successful showing this month at the state competition.

“We had 27 students compete in the 2025 Business Professionals of America Collegiate Competition in Grand Rapids, Michigan,” stated Julie Adamczyk, senior alumni and engagement officer and advisor for Northwood’s BPA Chapter. “They have done an incredible job against stiff competition.”

Adamczyk explained competitors at the Feb. 8 competition in Grand Rapids included Alma College, Oakland University, Davenport University, Lake Superior State University, Bay College, Montcalm Community College, and Kellogg Community College.”

“With many first-place finishes, Northwood BPA had an incredible performance at the state competition,” stated Steven Hackbarth, a sophomore from Midland, Michigan, who is president of Northwood’s BPA Chapter. “I am eager to see how Northwood will compete this year at Nationals!”
