Randy Wise Automotive Group is establishing a $50,000 scholarship fund at Northwood University in honor of its esteemed founder and leader, Randy Wise.
“We are deeply honored by Randy Wise Automotive Group’s generous contribution, which aims to support and inspire the next generation of automotive retail industry leaders by providing critical financial assistance to students enrolled in Northwood’s Automotive Marketing and Management degree program,” stated Dr. Matthew Bennett, vice president of strategic alliances and the Center for Automotive and Mobility Studies at Northwood University.
The Randy Wise Automotive Group Scholarship will be awarded to four deserving students annually over the next five years, with each recipient receiving $2,500. Selection will be based on both merit and financial need, with preference given to dependents of Randy Wise Automotive employees and students residing in Michigan.
“Teaming up with Northwood University is a fantastic way to not only assist in promising automotive careers with a tremendous learning institution but to also celebrate someone who has put decades of hard work into the retail industry,” stated Chris Wise, vice president of Randy Wise Automotive Group. “Randy took the leap into automotive retail over 50 years ago straight from college, and it has provided a wonderful lifestyle for him and his family. Being the first person to attend college in his family, he clearly understands the importance of higher education and having a passion for what you do. In addition to his own path to success, he is even more proud of being able to assist in bettering the lives of thousands of employees he has had the privilege to work with over the years. This scholarship opportunity is a logical progression to continue to do just that.”
Scholarship funds can be applied toward tuition, student fees, room and board expenses, textbook costs, or other required materials.
“This scholarship not only pays tribute to Randy Wise’s remarkable legacy, it aligns perfectly with Northwood University’s mission to develop free-enterprise leaders who drive global economic and social progress,” Bennett stated. “The support provided through this scholarship will undoubtedly significantly impact the lives of our students, enabling them to achieve their educational and professional aspirations.”
Randy Wise Automotive Group has long been committed to giving back to the community and supporting educational initiatives. Personally, Randy Wise has been instrumental in over 50 local and national charities.
By establishing this scholarship at Northwood University, the organization honors the vision and dedication of its founder, Randy Wise, who has spent his entire professional career dedicated to excellence in the automotive industry. In 1989, he opened his first store in Flint. Years of continual success and growth have followed.
