Complimentary events set for July 19, Aug. 23 and Sept. 20
Northwood University invites the community to an upcoming Music in the Woods concert series that is kicking off with a performance by the Coleman Road Band on July 19 from 6-8 p.m. at the John and Marjorie Hohman Amphitheater in Midland (food trucks will arrive at 5:30).
“As ‘Midland’s University,’ we wanted to continue our efforts to open our beautiful campus to the public, and this upcoming concert series will provide enjoyment for all ages,” said Northwood University President Kent MacDonald.
In addition to an evening of great music, each concert will feature games for the whole family, food trucks, and free cake and non-alcoholic beverages. Attendees will have the option to purchase adult beverages from Tavern 59, which will be open during the July 19 concert series kick-off event.
Those who plan to come out should bring their own lawn chairs. Everyone is allowed to bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages on July 19.
July 19 will feature the Coleman Road Band, a five-piece band playing classic rock, blues, soul and R&B. Other dates for the Music in the Woods at Northwood University concert series are Aug. 23 and Sept. 20. In the event of inclement weather, festivities will be moved to an indoor location on Northwood’s Midland campus, which is located at 4000 Whiting Drive.
