Think Advisor has named Northwood University among the top 15 business schools in the nation, based on how much their graduates are paid.
“This recognition is a testament to Northwood’s academic excellence and how we prepare our graduates for success in the business world,” stated Dr. Kristin Stehouwer, vice president of academics and provost at Northwood University. “We applaud our students’ achievements and the value they bring to the marketplace.”
Northwood University in Midland tied for 9th place on the list with graduates making $102,700 mid-career, based on data from PayScale.
“Northwood University continues to stand apart from the rest of the pack, as our graduates enter the workforce with a strong work ethic and heightened sense of individual responsibility,” stated Susie Poli-Smith, vice president of undergraduate enrollment and financial aid for Northwood University. “Our alumni succeed in many sectors and over 30% report they own all or some of their own business. Also, many of our undergraduates go on to attend the DeVos Graduate School to further invest in their education and differentiate themselves from others climbing the corporate ladder in today’s workforce.”
PayScale defines a “business school” as a college that grants more than half of its undergraduate degrees in business, accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, human resources management, management information systems and marketing, based on data reported to the U.S. Department of Education.
The median salaries presented are for graduates of these schools with business-related majors, not of the schools as a whole, and comprise students who earned only a bachelor’s degree.
