As Northwood University Florida continues to partner with community organizations to promote educational opportunities, Florida President Dr. Tom Duncan and Academic Dean Dr. Susan Dennett recently presented to the Rotary Club of West Palm Beach.
While Duncan shared relevant information pertaining to higher education and educational trends, Dennett provided an overview of the Northwood University academic curriculum while highlighting the benefits students receive from faculty members with industry experience. “When we ask students what they enjoy most about their classes, they often relay that their most memorable lessons come from the many faculty members who make the textbooks come alive as they recount their own real-life experiences in the world of business,” said Dennett.
The mission of the Rotary Club of West Palm Beach is to provide an environment to promote community service and educational activities on the local, national and international levels; to foster close fellowship among business and professional leaders; broaden relationships within the community; and promote business and personal excellence through the ideals of Rotary. With more than 34,000 groups globally, rotary’s 1.2 million members volunteer both domestically and internationally to support education and job training, provide clean water, combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, and eradicate polio.
