On Wednesday, February 19, at 7 p.m., the Finance Association of Northwood University and Dr. Diana Webb will host a personal Financial Workshop. This event will take place in the Sloan Family Building for Aftermarket Studies, room 210, on Northwood University’s Midland campus located at 4000 Whiting Drive. Students, alumni, faculty, staff and members of the community are invited to attend this free event.The topics for the workshop include budgeting, retirement planning and the importance of planning your retirement, individual retirement accounts, setting up brokerage accounts and online investing, and insurance and risk management planning. A question and answer period will follow after the workshop.
Dr. Webb has over 16 years of experience working in personal finance and currently teaches finance for Northwood University and the global campus of Central Michigan University. She is a past moderator for The American College conducting webinars around the United States for financial professionals plus designed and developed the personal finance curricula for Michigan community colleges. Dr. Webb is the past president of the Great Lakes Bay chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. In addition, Dr. Webb is a contributing member of the Society of Insurance Trainers and Educators and International Association of Insurance Professionals. She has been quoted in U.S.News & World Report regarding advice on investing.
