Kayleen O’Boyle, a Northwood University Michigan Automotive Marketing Management major, was recently awarded a $10,000 Barbara Cox Anthony Memorial Scholarship at Northwood University’s annual Dealer Education Awards Breakfast held as part of the National Auto Dealers Association (NADA) convention.“When I was contacted about the award I was shocked,” said O’Boyle. “After the presentation, I was honored to be able to meet Sanford Schwartz, the president of Cox Automotive and learn firsthand about a company that truly cares about people. Overall, it was a surreal experience,” she said.
“The Northwood University Dealer Education Awards program provides a venue to recognize dealers from across the world who substantially support education. These dealers serve as prime examples for both our students and for the automotive industry as they recognize the significant impact that individuals can make within local, regional, and national levels,” said Warren Mault, Senior Advancement Director at Northwood University.
Closely associated was the Barbara Cox Automotive Woman of the Year Award, which was presented to Michelle Primm, Managing Partner of Cascade Auto Group and recognizes those who are committed to improving the automotive industry, the annual scholarship is awarded to Northwood University female students who are pursuing careers within the automotive industry. “Cox Automotive is a valued industry partner who has recruited and employed a number of Northwood graduates,” added Mault.
