2023 High School graduates need to file FASFA now to qualify for up to $4,000 per year

Northwood University encourages high school seniors to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), so they can be considered for up to $4,000 in annual tuition assistance at Northwood, America’s Free Enterprise University.

“More tuition assistance is available for private school students than ever in Michigan’s history,” stated Northwood President Kent MacDonald. “This is great news for the thousands of students considering Northwood as their college of choice because of our commitment to remain a small, residential university where students live, learn, socialize and grow with other academically-focused people from across America and around the world.”

To be eligible for the new tuition assistance, students must complete their FAFSA. Make sure to include Northwood University as your first school of choice, using the ID 004072, so you can be eligible for the maximum federal and state aid available.

For maximum consideration, students living in the state of Michigan should complete their FAFSA between Oct. 1, 2022, and March 2023. Admissions specialists urge students to complete their FAFSA sooner rather than later.

Northwood University recognizes that finalizing one’s college selection can feel overwhelming. Selecting a school is an important decision, one with a lifelong impact. Five things set Northwood apart from other business schools:

  • Exceptional student leadership experiences.

  • A pragmatic, values-based philosophy known as The Northwood Idea.

  • A curriculum with industry-relevant innovative learning that students can customize to their interests.

  • 96% of graduates are employed in their field of study, join the military, or continue their graduate education.

  • Most students graduate in four years or less, allowing them to join the workforce sooner.

This will set your student up for success as they prepare to qualify for internships after their first year!

“There is no greater investment in your student’s future than the one they are about to make in their education,” stated Northwood Vice President of Undergraduate Enrollment and Financial Aid Susie Poli-Smith. “Northwood has a history of helping students launch into successful careers. More than 90 percent of our students have full-time jobs upon graduation, and more than 30 percent of Northwood graduates own all or part of a business. In addition, more than 60,000 Northwood alumni are thriving all over the world, and they are ready to welcome your family into the Northwood community.”

Students who come to Northwood are surrounded by faculty, staff, students, alumni, and members of the business community who are entrepreneurial-minded supporters and mentors.

“When a student graduates from Northwood, they will be academically, socially, and intellectually prepared to put their stamp on their respective community, wherever that may be,” stated Kristin Stehouwer, vice president of academics and provost at Northwood University.

Northwood is available to provide prospective students and parents with a thorough understanding of available financial aid resources.
