The Northwood University Sports Management Association is hosting a Bowl Timbys fundraiser.

“Bowl Timbys” is a perfect way to spend an evening with friends, family, co-workers, or fellow students while supporting a local cause,” stated Noel Tokarev, a student from Midland who is one of the event coordinators.

This friendly nine-pin no tap bowling tournament includes a taco bar and is open to individuals and teams of all skill levels.

“Whether you are an experienced bowler or just an average Joe, this tournament is for you,” added Zachary Blount, a student organizer who came to Northwood from Imlay City. “Bowling lanes will be available for all participants to compete in a relaxed but exciting environment. And prizes will be presented to the top performers!”

Proceeds from Bowl Timbys will go to support Northwood University Sports Management Association projects, including professional development opportunities and scholarships for student-athletes.

“This is a great way to support our university’s efforts to develop upcoming sports management experts,” stated Alex Meszaros, a student from Brownstown, Michigan.

Bowl Timbys will take place at 6 p.m. Nov. 22 at Northern Lanes, 1129 Saginaw Road, Sanford. Participants are encouraged to sign up in advance at https://www.gonorthwood.com/athletics/tickets.

“This event promises to be an entertaining and memorable night for everyone and anyone,” Tokarev added. “It does not matter if you are a seasoned bowler, a social butterfly, or someone who loves to support their community; there is a place for you. Participants can enjoy a friendly bowling competition, a complementary taco bar, and chances to win many prizes, all while supporting Northwood University’s Sports Management Association.”
