As it embarks upon its 55th year of academic excellence, Northwood University announced several administrative and faculty appointments today.Douglas Hentschel,associate professor in mathematics and science and chair of the Operations and Supply Chain Management was named Interim Academic Dean for the Michigan campus for the 2014-2015 academic year.
Amanda Swafford, who served as Assistant Academic Dean, was named Associate Academic Dean. Dr. Marisa Toschkoff, who served as Assistant Director of Academic Records & Michigan Registrar, will assume the role of Associate Director of Academic Records.
In one of Northwood University’s largest programs, Accounting, assistant professor Patricia Hart Timm was named department chair. John Gustincic moves from adjunct faculty to a dual appointment as fulltime faculty and Director of the Alden B. Dow Center for Creativity and Enterprise (ABDCCE). Adjunct faculty member Loran Brown also accepted a one-year faculty appointment.
Assistant professor Preston James and associate professor Dennis Witherspoon were named as chairs of the Entertainment, Sport & Promotion Management (ESPM) and Finance departments respectively.
Adjunct instructor Kevin McCormack was appointed to a full-time faculty position in Operations and Supply Chain Management while Jiwoo Park joins Northwood University as a faculty member in Integrated Marketing Communications.
