Alumni, donors, and other free-enterprise supporters are invited to join Northwood University President Kent MacDonald and First Lady Mary-Ellen MacPhee on an exclusive cruise from July 11-18, 2025, aboard the ultra-luxury Seabourn Quest.

This unique voyage invites attendees to explore the wonders of Alaska while deepening their connection to America’s Free-Enterprise University.

The cruise, which embarks from Vancouver, Canada, and sails to Juneau, Alaska, promises an unforgettable week of luxurious accommodations, world-class cuisine, and exciting excursions through Alaska’s majestic landscapes. Attendees will explore pristine glaciers, towering mountains, and vibrant wildlife, all while engaging in enriching discussions with fellow Northwood supporters.

“Mary-Ellen and I are thrilled to extend a personal invitation to join us for an unforgettable Alaskan cruise and a unique opportunity to connect with other members of the Northwood family,” stated President MacDonald. “This once-in-a-lifetime journey will allow you to experience the stunning landscapes of the Last Frontier, while also deepening relationships and celebrating with those who support Northwood’s distinctive mission. We are excited about engaging in meaningful conversations and I look forward to sharing insights on Northwood’s exciting and important future! Reserve your spot with us today and you can look forward to creating lasting memories in the majestic beauty of Alaska!”

A particular highlight of the cruise is the participation of Dr. Gad Saad, best-selling author of The Parasitic Mind, and Northwood University’s 2024-25 Visiting Professor and Global Ambassador for The Northwood Idea. Dr. Saad will deliver a keynote address and engage with guests throughout the week, offering insights into morality, psychology, and current global challenges.

In addition to Dr. Saad’s keynote, the cruise will feature programming that celebrates Northwood University’s commitment to free enterprise, personal liberty, and academic freedom. The intimate setting will allow for engaging discussions and deeper connections among alumni, supporters, and university leadership.

Guests are encouraged to RSVP by February 10, 2025, to secure their place on this exclusive voyage. Additional details, including booking information, can be found at https://www.northwood.edu/seabourn-alaskan-cruise/.
