The community is invited to the 2024 Freedom Fest Concert Series this summer at Northwood University.

“Northwood University is proud to host the 2024 Freedom Fest Concert Series to celebrate the spirit of freedom and invite community members of all ages to our beautiful campus for some enjoyable family-friendly evenings,” stated Justin Marshall, chief development and engagement officer for Northwood University.

The Freedom Fest Concert Series consists of concerts hosted in the heart of campus at the John and Marjorie Hohman Amphitheater.

This year’s series consists of two concerts, with the first featuring a blues rock band on July 23. That date will feature Coleman Road, a four-piece blues rock band that plays a collection of blues, soul, rock and R&B.

The second concert of the season is set for Aug. 27, and it will feature The RockShow, a rock-and-roll tribute band.

Attendees should bring lawn chairs, friends and family to these free outdoor concerts, both of which will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Northwood University in Midland. Each concert will feature a food truck on site, starting with What About Waffles, which will be the food truck at the July 23 event.
