Four Northwood University Business Professionals of America members recently placed in the Top 10 at the annual national competition in Anaheim, California.
“I am incredibly proud of the four team members who were able to attend nationals this year,” stated Advisor Julie Adamczyk. “They banded together to support each other, and all came home with medals.”
The four students who medaled at nationals include:
• Elizabeth Henson of Blanchard — 2nd Place in Entrepreneurship
• Logan Mathews of Harrison — 3rd Place in Payroll Accounting
• Mario Hansen of Mount Pleasant — Top 10 finish in Basic Office Systems & Procedures
• Jonah Brockway of Midland — Top 10 finish in Linux Operations System Fundamentals
The Northwood BPA team had 16 of its members qualify for nationals by placing at the state competition in February 2023.
Because the April 26-29 national competition took place during the last two weeks of classes, only four of Northwood’s 16 qualifiers could make it due to final exams and class presentation commitments.
