January 4, 2024
Join us for the Business Battle Workshop on Jan. 23, from 3:00-4:30 PM at the Northwood Idea Center. For just $15 per person, this event is open to businesses and students eager to innovate and compete.

The Midland Business Alliance, Northwood University and GLYPH Marketing are hosting a Business Battle Workshop on Jan. 23 at the Northwood Idea Center.

Participants will be given one hour to collaboratively brainstorm a business idea from prompts and create a business pitch to present to judges with the winner getting bragging rights.

“The Business Battle Workshop is designed to foster innovation, encourage teamwork, and provide a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to showcase their creativity,” said Emily Lyons, director of innovation and small business for the MBA. “Supporting innovation is one of the MBA’s key initiatives in fulfilling our mission to build and cultivate a strong and diverse business community.”

This event is open to small business owners, entrepreneurs and students to come and experience cross-discipline engagement and get your brain outside of a one-idea approach. Business owners and students will be engaging with one another while they work together toward a common goal.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with the MBA and GLYPH Marketing to bring this exciting opportunity to the local business community,” stated Patrick McElgunn, director of the Northwood Idea Center. “It’s a chance for individuals from different backgrounds to come together, exchange ideas, and create something innovative.”

This event will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 23 at the Northwood Idea Center, which is located at 102 E. Main St. in downtown Midland.

To register, visit https://bit.ly/3t41DVa. Cost is $15 for MBA members and $18 for future members. If students partner with an MBA member institution, the cost is $15.

Beverages and snacks will be provided.
