MEMA’s Modern Industry eXpertise (MiX) Leadership 2.0 Scholarship, an honor made possible by the University of Aftermarket Foundation, has been awarded to Parker Blust, executive assistant and special projects at Schaeffler.

This full-ride scholarship gives Blust an unparalleled opportunity to attend Northwood University’s renowned Leadership 2.0 program, a two-week course designed to equip participants with advanced leadership skills and industry knowledge.

Blust is a Northwood University alumnus with a bachelor’s degree in Automotive Aftermarket Management and an M.B.A from the DeVos Graduate School at Northwood University. His future aspirations make him an exemplary recipient of this scholarship. With plans to transition into a product management role at the end of 2024, he is poised to leverage the skills and insights gained from the Leadership 2.0 program to drive success in his new position and contribute meaningfully to the automotive aftermarket industry.

“Participating in Leadership 2.0 is a great opportunity to immerse myself in the latest industry trends and leadership strategies,” said Blust. “I’m eager to engage with the knowledge shared by Northwood faculty and industry leaders, and to apply these insights to my current role and future career.”

“Our leadership classes are designed to help high performers get to the next level,” said James O’Dell, AAP, Assistant Director, Aftermarket Education at Northwood University. “They are filled with relevant industry information that inspire teams to achieve greater results.

“We are delighted to collaborate with MEMA and the UofAF on these initiatives,” O’Dell continued. “Their selfless support and tireless efforts—through UofAF providing generous scholarships and MEMA identifying worthy candidates—promote life-long learning and professional development, which advances the aftermarket.”

The MiX Leadership 2.0 Scholarship reflects MiX’s commitment to fostering leadership and professional growth within the automotive aftermarket community. By supporting emerging leaders like Blust, MiX and the UofAF continue to invest in the future of the industry.
