After a long absence from the spotlight, Northwood University Texas Mock DECA participants from Irving ISD Nimitz High School DECA Chapter competed in district competition. Two students, Nadia Robledo and Laura McLean, advised by CTE teacher Tammy Clark, have advanced to state level competition.In addition, Laura McLean has been accepted to Northwood University in Cedar Hill. She is looking forward to participating in DECA at the collegiate level. While Laura has already been awarded a scholarship for being in DECA, the actual amount of her scholarship will continue to increase as she continues to advance through this competition.
