Northwood University invites alumni, faculty, staff, donors, and supporters of free enterprise to come together for the 2025 Day of Giving on March 24. This special day is an opportunity for individuals who value individual freedom, earned success, and the importance of business to unite in support of Northwood’s enduring mission.
“The generosity of our Day of Giving donors directly fuels the success of our students and strengthens Northwood’s commitment to free enterprise education,” stated Northwood Vice President of Advancement Murray Kyte. “Every contribution helps ensure that Northwood continues to develop principled leaders who will shape the future of business and society.”
Building on Record-Breaking Success
Last year’s Day of Giving was the most successful in Northwood history, raising an astounding $101,659.59 — a testament to the deep commitment of the university’s supporters. This year, Northwood aims to build on that momentum, inspiring even greater participation to expand the reach of The Northwood Idea, which champions free enterprise, entrepreneurism, limited government, and liberty for all.
A Chance to Make a Lasting Impact
The Day of Giving is more than just a fundraising event — it is a celebration of Northwood’s mission to develop free-enterprise leaders who drive global social and economic progress. Participants can direct their contributions to scholarships, athletic programs, academic resources, or campus enhancements, ensuring their gifts support the areas most meaningful to them.
“Every donation, no matter the size, helps strengthen Northwood’s ability to provide a transformative education for the next generation of free-enterprise leaders,” said Director of Annual Giving Laura Rhodes. “This is a unique opportunity for donors to contribute to programs that align with their passions while advancing our shared values.”
Tied to a Rich Legacy: Founders’ Day Celebration
The 2025 Day of Giving takes place the day following Founders’ Day, which honors Northwood’s co-founders, Arthur and Johann Turner and Gary and Willa Stauffer, and the principles that have guided the university since its inception. These timeless values — which also include the importance of the rule of law, personal responsibility, and the pursuit of prosperity through hard work and thrift — continue to shape Northwood’s educational philosophy today.
Last year, 300 donors from three different countries and 17 states came together to support Northwood’s mission. This year, the university is calling on even more supporters to step up and help make an even greater impact.
