Nominated by Catherine Eklund Mares, DW’2003. Ms. Everett is the daughter of Norman Vincent Peale. She and her husband were active in a ministry business and working in the community. She is currently chairman of the Board of Guideposts Foundation and Guideposts Church Corporation. Their capital campaign raised $12.5 million to launch the Ruth Stafford Peale Prayer Power Network. She also serves on the Mizzentop Day School board in Pawling, NY, and on the board of Lumunos, and is a past trustee of the Stony Brook School in Stony Brook, NY. Her late father was instrumental in the founding of Northwood University, giving advice and support to co-founder Dr. Arthur Turner. Her deceased mother, Ruth Stafford Peale, was a 1981 Distinguished Women, her sister, Elizabeth Peale Allen, is a DW from 1999. This would be the first multi-generation DW honoree group.
