Ms. McBee has chosen to reside in Dallas and is a 7th generation Texan and the great, great, great, great granddaughter of Emily Austin, sister to Stephen F. Austin…the father of Texas. She received her Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from University of Texas at Austin and has been a consultant for 19 years with New England Biolabs. She is also a principal in GenTest, Texas’ exclusive distributor of OncoVue. Ms. McBee’s many volunteer Board roles is with the Dallas Film Society as chair. Her leadership is exemplified in her career as well as her many, many volunteer Board member roles and chairing of major nonprofit events. Her latest event chair role was executing the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge opening. Ms. McBee has received numerous awards for her exceptional service and time commitments to charitable and philanthropic endeavors. She credits her efforts to many other volunteers who all work together to impact the community.
