She and her husband, C.E. (Doc), have moved and restored several vintage buildings to their ranch where he has established a farm museum featuring early steam tractors and antique farm equipment. Joan is responsible for moving an historic early Texas chapel to Northwood’s Cedar Hill campus where it has been restored and is an actively used campus landmark. “It’s been thrilling to witness the impact of so many energetic, talented women in our city interacting with the high goals of Northwood University,” she states. “The people I have met working with Northwood have been high-minded and exceptional individuals. They have been charitable, interesting and fun. Certainly the time spent with Northwood has been a very fulfilling part of my life.”
