Beverly Holmes exemplifies the highest quality of community service, having served on numerous boards, presiding over many. She chaired the Dallas chapter of the National Women’s Board of Northwood University for three years, served on the Northwood Texas Board of Governors and initiated the Northwood cookbook, “Distinguished Recipes from Distinguished Cooks.” Beverly is a Texan by birth. Raised in Lubbock, she attended Texas Tech and married her high school sweetheart, Robert H. Holmes, an attorney and prominent Dallas businessman. They have three children. A devoted mother, she set her priorities early: God first, family second and civic responsibilities third – a commitment which she continues to honor. Beverly says, “Never before has our free enterprise system meant so much to so many worldwide, I believe in today’s society the best legacy we leave our children is a good education incorporating the free enterprise philosophy.”
