Arlette Gordon and her husband Robert, an international investor, are noted philanthropists. Their devoted assistance to important causes in Palm Beach has benefited Hospice, Juvenile Diabetes, Heart Association, Cystic Fibrosis, Salvation Army, Animal Rescue League, St. Mary’s Hospital, The American Cancer Society of America, Society of Four Arts and Palm Beach Opera. Arlette was four-time Palm Beach American Red Cross Auction chairman, Opera Ball chairman and received the Salvation Army 1995 Women’s Honor Award. Arlette is also a Trustee for the International Society of Palm Beach, 1992, 1994 chairman of the National Wheelchair Sports Fund, a Charter Member of the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum and 1995 chairman of the Salvation Army Christmas Ball. Born in Boston, Arlette attended the Choate School in Boston, the University of Rhode Island and the Boston University School of Music. The Gordons’ business and love of travel have taken them to all parts of the world. Personally, they enjoy travel on their own boat from Maine to Key West and gourmet dining as leaders in the Chaine des Rotisseurs. The Gordons have three sons, Paul, Lee and Scott, all of whom reside with their families in Florida.
