Christi Harris is the President and C.E.O. of the Christi Harris Companies, Ltd.; a Dallas based cosmetic company. A true entrepreneur, Ms. Harris started her company at the age of twenty-one. Today, she makes over 196 skin care and beauty products which are distributed worldwide through mail order and her Dallas Galleria Makeover Center. Ms. Harris’ motto has always been, “There is no such thing as an unattractive woman or child, simply an untrained one.” She believes her success has been based on educating women and teaching them how to recreate their new look at home. Ms. Harris has been a consultant for numerous health and beauty companies, including Lubriderm, Warner Wellcome, and U.S. Cosmetics. She has trained Fortune 500 executives as well as celebrities on self-image. Ms. Harris is a frequent guests on radio and television talk shows. Born in Anson, Texas, Christi was educated at Miss Wade’s Fashion Merchandising College and Abilene Christian University. Ms. Harris gave the commencement address for the Cedar Hill Campus 2000 graduating class and received an honorary Doctor of Laws Degree from Northwood University. She is a member and strong supporter of Prestoncrest Church of Christ, the Northwood University (Texas) Board of Governors, has chaired the Dallas Chapter of Northwood University’s National Women’s Board & Friends (Texas), International Debutante Ball Committee (New York), is an Honorary Board member of the Yellow Rose Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis and supporter of the American Federation of Aging (New York). Other memberships include the Women’s Board of the Dallas Opera, The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League, Fashion Group International, National Kidney Foundation, Les Femmes du Monde and The Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. Ms. Harris was the recipient of the Northwood Silver Star Award for leadership and was a Golden Plate recipient in 1997.
