Andrea Gueramy’s outstanding contributions to her profession and community reflect her varied talents and interests. Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Andrea’s fascination with medicine, particularly neurology, led her to studies at the Royal Victoria Hospital School of Nursing, Montreal Neurological Institute, McGill University and Central Michigan University. She is a Registered Nurse, holds a Bachelor of Science degree and has completed post-graduate work in Neuro Nursing. Her impressive career includes work at the Cancer Institute of Teheran University, Iran, teaching English at the Iran American Society in Iran, and neurological nursing at the MidMichigan Neuroscience Institute of Mid Michigan Health Systems. She is an executive board member of Northwood University’s Town & Campus chapter of Northwood’s National Women’s Board & Friends, and has been a long time supporter of the University’s FAD Auction program. Active in the Midland County Medical Auxiliary, Andrea has chaired numerous fundraising events for medical causes. In addition to being an avid reader and world traveler, her interests include the restoration and maintenance of historical buildings. She has been instrumental in historic preservation in Crested Butte, Colorado, Cap D’Antibes, France (where she and her husband have restored and completed an architecturally significant home), and historical buildings preservation in Midland, Michigan. Andrea resides in Midland with her husband, neurosurgeon Dr. Manoucher Gueramy. They have three children: Darius, President of Pendragon Technologies, Inc., a health care technologies provider, Timothy, a physician and Tami, a student at Cooley Law School.
