2006 – Dallas, Texas
From her first position with a small architectural firm to founding her international design firm, Barbara Daseke has drawn on her love of innovation and vibrant colors to design award winning inte-riors throughout the world. Her pleasure of walking into the finished project and of creating environ-ments that enhance people’s interactions with one another led to the founding of Barbara Elliott Interiors, a commercial design firm specializing in hospitality properties and luxury homes. She has worked with clients on new hotel properties in Paris, Indonesia, Guam, Saipan and all across the United States. Over the span of her career, Barbara has received numerous prestigious design awards, has judged design competitions and has been a sought after keynote speaker. Coming of age in the time when beige ruled the hospitality world, Barbara broke new ground with the use of bold colors and floor plans that inspired conversations and community. Her clients seek her out when they are looking for forward thinking and innovative interiors. A passion for the arts keeps her active with organizations such as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Dallas Contemporary Art Museum, the Salvation Army and TACA, an umbrella arts funding organization in the Dallas area. Barbara was recently named “Volunteer of the Year” by TACA, a recognition that came, in part, from her strong belief that working as a volunteer is just as important as serving on a board.
