Paul H. Smucker, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the J. M. Smucker Company for 15 years, joined the company as a cost accountant with a degree in business from Miami University. He has worked for 45 years for the company founded by his grandfather in 1897 as a small apple cider mill in Ohio. During this time he has seen sales expand some 50 times and during the period of his leadership Smucker’s has become the leader in the preserves and jelly business in the United States, internationally recognized for product quality, processing technology and for product marketing and innovation. There are ten Smucker’s plants across the US.
