1974 – Saginaw, Michigan
Motivated, concerned and highly civic-minded, June Braun has given freely of herself in leadership roles with many community and national organizations such as the Women’s National Farm and Garden Association on a local, district and national level, past president and now member of the board of advisors for the Norman Westlund Child Guidance Clinic, the Saginaw chapter of the Northwood National Women’s Board, the Saginaw chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, past president of the Assistance League, the Saginaw Branch of American Association of University Women, the Saginaw General Hospital Auxiliary, past member of the Board of Trustees of Saginaw General Hospital and a member of the P.E.O., chapter AS. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Braun have four children, all of whom graduated from Albion College. David and James are also graduates of the University of Michigan, and Patricia (Mrs. Robert Schust) and Kathryn have earned degrees from Michigan State University. June and Elmer both have been actively involved in the promotion of the Northwood Idea and have devoted great amounts of time and energy to the University. A lifelong resident of Michigan, Mrs. Braun is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University. (Deceased 2001)
