Mrs. Smock’s mother, Dorothy Wilson, was one of the founders of the first Northwood Women’s Board, in Alma, Michigan. Ann graduated from the University of Michigan and later returned to earn a master’s degree in public health education. “My own personal conviction is that a full life embraces both the practical and the beautiful, the one enhancing the other. I believe that Northwood truly endeavors to graduate responsible, well-rounded citizens, capable of taking their places in a highly complicated world.”
