Campus Closure for the Holidays

The Northwood University campus will be closed from December 23rd until January 2nd for the holidays.

Resources for Transfer Students

Transfer Articulation Guides are available for many Michigan, Ohio, and Canadian colleges and universities.

Northwood University also participates in the Business MiTransfer Pathway. The MiTransfer Pathways builds on the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA). The MTA allows transfer students to select designated courses to complete a minimum of 30 credit hours fulfilling MTA distribution requirements. Students following MiTransfer Pathway agreements should complete the MTA in accordance with the sending institutions’ course designations
and consider whether any recommended MiTransfer Pathways major-specific courses will “double count” to fulfill MTA distribution requirements in planning their transfer.

The MTA Mathematics distribution area allows students to complete one of three math pathways. The Business MiTransfer Pathways faculty recommended that students complete a course in the Statistics pathway.

More information about the MTA is available at www.mitransfer.org.

We have Transfer Course Equivalency Guides for all Michigan community colleges; major-specific Texas College Common Core Equivalencies are also available. There is a guide for each community college that shows which courses – and how many courses at that school – will transfer to Northwood.

These guides are not a comprehensive list of every course that may transfer to Northwood University. If you have a course not listed on the guide, be sure to check with a Northwood Transfer Coordinator to determine transferability.

Thinking of Transferring to Northwood?

A student who plans to transfer to Northwood in the future should contact the Office of Admissions to speak to a transfer counselor. This will allow the student to be advised on the appropriate classes and/or electives to take depending on the student’s transfer goals. Early planning is better, but a transfer coordinator can advise a student at any point regarding his/her transfer to Northwood.
