Northwood University website redesign effort wins awards

Northwood University is being honored for its efforts to transform its website into

an engaging digital environment that showcases America’s Free Enterprise University’s innovative business and entrepreneurial education.

Northwood partnered with ERI, a top .edu website firm, to transform northwood.edu from a website to a digital gateway that differentiates Northwood from other higher education institutions.

Working together as a cohesive team, ERI and Northwood developed a strategy focused on user experience, dynamic content, and advanced technology solutions. The project included re-platforming the site, crafting a content strategy for key pages, designing an engaging user interface, and video strategy development.

“The website redesign launched a new era for our online presence that authentically captures our impact on our students, alumni, communities and the world,” stated Northwood Vice President of Advancement Murray Kyte. “Key features like visual storytelling and authentic student voices, intuitive navigation for key audiences, and clear calls to action and pathways to information have resulted in large gains in active users, new users, and search engine organic traffic.”

Northwood and ERI recently were awarded a w3 Silver Award and a Silver Davey Award for transforming Northwood University’s digital presence into an engaging, modern platform that drives enrollment and embodies the spirit of Northwood.

Northwood Marketing and Communications Officer Rachel Valdiserri applauded ERI and Northwood Web Specialist Maria Bertoia for their efforts to help launch a transformative website redesign on a very aggressive timeline.

“As Northwood University continues to grow and evolve, our revamped digital platform will serve as a cornerstone of our enrollment strategy and a reflection of our commitment to providing an engaging, informative, and seamless experience for prospective students, current students, and alumni alike,” Valdiserri added.
