The Military Times has named Northwood University a 2024 Best for Vets College.
“Supporting military-connected students is a cornerstone of Northwood University’s mission, and this distinction from Military Times reflects our unwavering commitment to those who have served,” stated Northwood University President Kent MacDonald. “For more than 40 years, Northwood has offered unique programs tailored to the individual needs of service members, veterans, and their families. We honor their exceptional contributions through our commitment to providing an environment where they can achieve their academic and personal goals.”
At Northwood University, military-connected students can earn their undergraduate and graduate degrees using tuition discounts that help limit out-of-pocket costs beyond military tuition assistance.
“Additionally, military-connected students thrive at Northwood because our values-based education emphasizes individual freedom, personal responsibility, earned success, and the importance of free enterprise,” noted Henry Reyna, who leads Northwood’s military and public safety recruiting efforts. “Veterans embody the FRESH AIR values outlined in Northwood’s code of ethics, which prioritizes freedom, responsibility, empathy, spirituality, honesty, achievement, integrity and respect.”
This is not the first time Northwood has been honored for its service to military-connected students. Most recently, the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency recognized Northwood as a 2024 Veteran-Friendly School.
