Race to Black Friday savings: Get $100 off Full Tank Automotive Camp registration Nov. 28-Dec. 2

This holiday season, parents and families can give their young car enthusiasts the ultimate summer experience as registration opens early for the 2025 Full Tank Automotive Camp at Northwood University. This five-day camp — set for June 15-20, 2025, in Midland, Michigan — offers high schoolers a unique deep dive into opportunities in the dynamic automotive industry.

“With early registration, the opportunity is here to gift young car lovers an inspiring journey in automotive exploration,” stated Professor Elgie Bright, who chairs Northwood’s Automotive Marketing/Management Program. “Through hands-on workshops, immersive learning, and field trips, campers will gain a unique understanding of the many pathways within the automotive industry, from design and development to sales, marketing, and aftermarket. Limited spots mean early registration is key!”

“Full Tank Automotive Camp gives young students an exciting platform to explore their interests, sharpen their skills, and even make career connections that can fuel their passion,” stated Alex Mazon, general chair of the 2024 Northwood University International Auto Show and director for 2025 Full Tank Automotive Camp. “Guided by Northwood’s expert faculty, current students, and industry professionals, campers will participate in engaging, real-world challenges that prepare them to be future leaders in the automotive industry.”

Campers will also enjoy networking opportunities, a visit to the Automotive Hall of Fame, business tours, and an outing to a Great Lakes Loons game at Dow Diamond.

“These experiences are designed to help campers develop essential teamwork and problem-solving skills while fostering connections that last well beyond camp,” Bright explained.

“The industry connections, friendships, and professional skills that Full Tank campers gain in just five days are incredible,” added Mazon. “Campers will leave with valuable insights and experiences they can carry into high school, college, and beyond. The camp truly provides a genuine opportunity for high schoolers to fuel the start of an automotive career.”

Full Tank Automotive Camp is valued at $1,500. However, the support of private donors — including a $100,000 gift from General Motors — helps reduce the cost to students. Those who need financial assistance can inquire about scholarship opportunities.

“We don’t want cost to be a barrier for any high schooler who is passionate about exploring career opportunities in the automotive industry,” Bright noted. “That said, we encourage interested families to secure a spot early, as this is a popular program with limited availability.”
