The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency (MVAA) has once again recognized Northwood University as a veteran-friendly school, reaffirming its dedication to veterans and military-connected students.

Northwood University, often referred to as America’s Free Enterprise University, stands out with its unique approach to supporting veterans and military-connected students in achieving their educational and career goals. President Kent MacDonald underscores this unwavering commitment, stating, “Supporting these students is not just a responsibility but a privilege. Their experiences, dedication, and resilience significantly enrich our Northwood community.”

Northwood University, one of the 62 academic institutions in Michigan that earned the Veteran-Friendly School designation, has achieved the highest recognition: Gold-level status. This status is a testament to Northwood’s excellence in providing veteran-centric services and programs, setting it apart in its commitment to this important segment of students.

“We are honored to be acknowledged for our continued commitment to supporting veterans and military-connected learners,” said Henry Reyna, a veteran law enforcement officer who leads military and public safety recruiting efforts at Northwood University. “At Northwood, we strive to create an environment where these courageous individuals and their families can thrive academically and professionally. We understand their unique challenges and are dedicated to providing the resources and support they need to succeed.”
