Circle K International of Northwood University hosted Kids Against Hunger on August 23, which took place on Northwood University’s Midland campus located at 4000 Whiting Drive. Circle K International is a globally recognized service organization with more than 12,600 members in 17 nations. With projects ranging from March of Dimes to UNICEF’s Eliminate campaign, Circle K International is always helping the community become a better place to live. Members act under the Kiwanis International organization. Midland Kiwanis and Northwood University’s Sodexo donated funds for this event.Kids Against Hunger packages highly nutritious, life-saving meals for starving children and malnourished children and their families in developing countries and the United States.
There were over 75 Northwood University students that worked together to package 10,368 meals! A portion of these meals will be distributed throughout Midland County and the remainder of the portion will be delivered internationally.
