Ms. Thompson-Frenk is an artist and philanthropist born in Mexico and grew up in Dallas after being adopted at the age of 5 days old by Debra and the late John Thompson, who was CEO of 7-Eleven Corporation. She is President and Co-founder of the Memnosyne Foundation; sculptor, writer, public speaker, and humanitarian. Also, she is President and Co-founder of the John Philip Thompson Foundation for Non-Chemotherapy/Radiation Brain Cancer Research. She is on the boards of The Nexus: Global Youth Summit on Innovative Philanthropy and Social Entrepreneurship; Interfaith of New York; The Indigenous Institute of the America; WomanMade Gallery of Chicago; Mexico-Arte Museum; and Women That Soar. Ms. Thompson-Frenk is working on her Master’s degree in Science in Leadership at Northeastern University graduating in 2013, received her BBA in Organizational Psychology and Development in 2011 and an Associate’s degree from American-InterContinental University in business administration visual communication. Her work centers on globalization affecting the culture of humanity, including the arts, sciences, spirituality and the ecology of our planet. She has received numerous awards including ARTV’s Sculptor of the Year Award, DBCA’s Obelisk Award, Philanthropy World Magazine Honoree, Foundation for Pluralism Award and Brilliantly You Award from Women That Soar.
