1982 – Palm Springs, California & Honolulu, Hawaii
For many years, Jeannine Levitt Riccio was chairman of the April in Paris balls in New York and Paris, for which she was awarded the Silver Medallion from the City of Paris in appreciation of her work for French charities. Mrs. Levitt has served on fundraising boards and committees for many causes, including cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy and the (Palm Springs) Desert Hospital’s Golden Sun Gala, a ball to benefit its auxiliary. She is a charter member of Children’s Village, USA (for abused children) and of the Palm Springs chapter of the Northwood National Women’s Board. One of Jeannine’s greatest contributions to any project she undertakes is her personal commitment of time, talent, strength and hard work to make each project a success. She is one of Northwood’s staunch supporters, has worked tirelessly as co-chairman of the FAD auction and on Festival of the Desert committees, as well as on the Forget-Me-Not Balls in New York and Europe to benefit Northwood. “I endorse Northwood’s philosophy and what it stands for,” she says, “and I always like to work for the things I believe in.”
