Recently named as the 2004 National Hispanic Business Woman of the Year by the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Nina Vaca founded Pinnacle in 1996 as an information technology services provider to the Fortune 500. Today, Pinnacle serves the telecommunications, financial services, health care, and other sectors in the areas of enterprise data warehousing, custom application development, and system/network architecture. Pinnacle also provides its clients with a proprietary vendor management solution for their flexible staffing needs. Pinnacle has experienced explosive growth over the past two years and ranks among the fastest growing technology services firms in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. Nina serves as Chair Elect for the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and in 2005 will become only the 6th woman to chair the board in its 65-year history. In 2004, Nina chaired the GDHCC’s scholarship drive, awarding college scholarships to over 125 college-bound Hispanic students. The $325,000 raised set a new fundraising record by a Hispanic Chamber nationwide, eclipsing Nina’s own record from the previous year. In 2003, the World Affairs Council selected Nina to represent the U.S. abroad as a German Marshall Memorial Fellow, a program designed to introduce the next generation of Western European and U.S. leaders to one another. Nina is also a board member for numerous local organizations, including the Women’s Business Council – Southwest, The United Way, the Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the Dallas Assembly. Nina graduated from Texas State University with a B.A. in Speech Communications and Business Administration. She is also a graduate of Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg School of Management, NMSDC AMEP.
