Dr. Richard Gamble to Speak on Liberty at Northwood University

Northwood University and the Midland community are invited to hear Dr. Richard M. Gamble speak on Wednesday, October 28, at 5:30 p.m., in the Griswold Lecture Hall.

MIDLAND, MI – Northwood University and the Midland community are invited to hear Dr. Richard M. Gamble, the Anna Margaret Ross Alexander Chair in History and Political Science at Hillsdale College, speak on the Western tradition and contemporary misunderstandings of liberty. He will speak on Wednesday, October 28, at 5:30 p.m., in the Griswold Lecture Hall on the Midland Campus located at 4000 Whiting Drive. This event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Gamble is the editor of The Great Tradition: Classic Readings on What it Means to Be an Educated Human Being (ISI Books, 2009) and author of The War for Righteousness: Progressive Christianity, the Great War and the Rise of the Messianic Nation (ISI Books, 2003). He has also been published in Journal of Southern History, The Independent Review, The American Conservative, Intercollegiate Review and Humanitas.

The event is sponsored by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute and Northwood's partnership with the Jack Miller Center and the Manhattan Institute's Veritas Fund.
