Northwood University is seeking a dynamic individual to manage our Alumni Relations program for our Florida campus and all alumni living in the Eastern USA, Eastern Canada and Bahamas while developing relations to build awareness and promote financial support to the University. Director will work with Friends of Northwood, Professional Advisory Council and the local community to support the University's annual fundraising objectives. Director is responsible for strengthening ties between the graduate alumni body and the University; increasing the amount of donations from alumni; identifying and cultivating major gift and donor prospects; writing publications for communications to alumni and parents; coordinating all alumni membership initiatives; serving as liaison to the Alumni Leadership Council and the Student Alumni Leadership Council; promoting opportunities provided by the alumni office; developing regional alumni programs; and, overseeing the Alumni Relations Office. Director will also establish and maintain the University's visibility within community through involvement in appropriate organizations; identify potential supporters and develop list of prospects for solicitation; organize special campaigns and events; and, forecast and manage budgets. Require: Bachelor's degree; 3-5 years previous fund development and event planning experience; excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and experience with database management; and, availability to work occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends in connection with special events.

Director will lead the development of enhanced hybrid and fully on-line courses; work with system colleagues to set on-line education policy, choose products and resources for the system's on-line education programs and manage as appropriate; assist in developing strategies for enrollment outreach and management; assist Department Chairs and Faculty with incorporating more web-enhanced activities into existing courses; and, remain current with system and national developments on on-line education. Director will have systems in place to measure effectiveness of processes, respond efficiently and effectively when process changes are required, champion instructional improvement activities and collaborate with Deans to ensure One Northwood academic excellence. Master's degree is required as well as on-line teaching experience and experience coordinating/managing an on-line education program and working collaboratively with faculty and staff using instructional technologies. Prefer: PhD.
